Camera has been Found!

It ended up being in the floor of Tyson's truck~which is where I figured it was but I kept forgetting to look! We've been busy!

We took the kids to the lake last weekend and OMG the water was so hot~it actually felt better to be out of the water! Needless to say we didn't stay long!

The kids are in OK playing with aunts, cousins, and grandparents! So I finally gave in and went to play ultimate frisbee with Tyson! They have a group that plays every Saturday! It was an experience & Tyson takes his frisbee seriously!

I mean really who gets up this early on a Saturday because they WANT too~

We've been talking about switching the kids rooms and repainting! We finally got started on Jed's new room last night! Here are the befores

and here are the afters

Jed's going to have a hunting room and I think it will look neat when it's finished!

I have a million other things I want to do around here before school starts but dang I'm running out of time! I've been subbing some for summer school and then running the kids to different activities~

I'm taking piano lessons from a sister missionary at Church! So far they are going well but it's steadily getting harder! Maybe I'll make it through! I think that's about all going on here!

~The Case of the Missing Camera~

We went to the lake the other day and I took my camera with us! I can't find it now! I know I brought it home. I think it might be in Tyson's truck but I keep forgetting to look! Maybe I'll remember tonight! haha

The kids are in OK for a week or so! They were so excited to see Max(my mom's dog!) I am going to work on painting their bedrooms before they get back! Hopefully, I can get it done!

What's for Dinner?

Since we are watching what we eat & also trying not to spend too much money on eating out, I've been venturing out with my menu planning! I've found

Check this Out

I've tried 2 things off her recipe blog, the Bacon Cheeseburger Chicken (I even made real bacon bits) & the Mighty Meat Nachos (even made homemade torilla chips)!

They were both yummy! Tyson really liked the Nachos! It makes a ton so I need to adjust the recipe some for next time but it was Yum-O!

Anyone have any great recipes or recipe sites to share with me?

Where Oh Where Have I Been?

Truthfully I don't know! We have been busy everyday since school let out and we haven't been able to sleep in ONE.SINGLE.DAY!!!! If you know me at all, you know that hasn't sat well with me!!!

I've been walking with my friend Kasi every night and FINALLY made it to 100 miles with my Nike+! I got my own little mini me and they even got me a certificate! I thought this was funny so I took a pic of it! I guess in case I wanted to hang it on the fridge??? LOL

We walk for about an hour every night which usually ends up being a little over 3 miles!

Jed went to a baseball camp a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it! No pics from that though! (one of the reasons we had to get up early!!)

Then a couple of weeks ago we had a baby shower for my friend Rachella. It was a lot of fun! I gave her a diaper cake and of course have a story to tell! I didn't make it b/c I really didn't have time to do it! I have a friend whose mom makes them so I asked her to make it well here's the before

I about lost it! I know now why I make so much stuff~it's a control issue!!! I thought it looked tacky so I pulled all the stuff off of it and redid it!

this is the after!

I made this cute towel for a friend to give as a birthday gift!

I've also been working on some other towels for another friend and that's what has taken most of my time! I finished them though so now it's on to having fun right?

Last week we went to the dollar movies and saw Charolette's Web! The kids enjoyed it although it wasn't so cheap after we bought popcorn and a drink! haha

I FINALLY finished Breaking Dawn and I am so glad! I had a love/hate relationship with that final book. I MADE myself finish it the other day! I am reading the Shack now and a book called The Bad Girls of the Bible! We'll see how that turns out!

We went a few weeks ago and had family pictures done! It worked out really wierd and I have become friends with the lady who took our pictures! :)

Tyson and I also celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary! It's hard to believe we've been married 12 years!

Here's to another 12 years babe!

I've also been meal planning and we've been eating at home quite a bit! I'm always better about this in the summer I guess b/c I have a little more time but need to be better about it during the school year! I plan our meals from Thursday to Thursday b/c that's when Tyson gets paid! Here's our menu for this week!

Sunday (today)~Roast
Monday~basil chicken & angel hair pasta
Tuesday~spaghetti
Wednesday~Tacos
Thursday~Meatballs

We ate tacos last night so I'll have to come up with something else.

I think that's all to write about right now! See ya!

Catching Up...

We are into our 2nd week of summer and I can't say that I've done too much! Last week we had recital all week long & this week Jed has been going to a baseball camp! His league team ended up getting 2nd overall and 1st in their division! Friday night we had a great game against the Yankees so we were all excited for Monday nights game, but it didn't go so well! We only ended up losing 2 games the whole season, so they had a good run!

Here's Jed with his trophys and batting!

I've been walking with my friend Kasi every night~we go for about 3 miles! I FINALLY reached 100 miles with my Nike+~Other than that we have just been hanging out at the house! I'm trying to get things cleaned out for a garage sale and then hopefully I can start painting bedrooms next week when we don't have any obligations!:)

oops~I forgot to post...

I'm still working on the exercise thing~I haven't lost anymore but I really haven't had the time to exercise with everything going on~I haven't gained though either so that's good! Tomorrow's the day to start back up!!!

Busy Busy!!!

Finally school is over for the kids, I have to go back Tuesday and Wednesday for workshops~ugh! We have been super busy these last couple of weeks~Heather & I went to Moody Gardens for her 5th grade field trip a couple of weeks ago~we left at 6am and didn't get back until 8:30 that night! We had a great time!

Caroline graduated from Kindergarten~can you believe she's going to be a first grader? I can't~seems just like yesterday that she was born!

She had the best teachers this year! We sure are going to miss them!:) and she FINALLY learned how to read! If you don't know that story, remind me one day and I'll tell you!

then on the same day Heather graduated from 5th grade! It's so hard to believe she's going to middle school next year! She is so excited! She also had some awesome teachers this year and I know she'll miss them too!
Mrs. C~her homeroom teacher!

Mrs. S~the principal~after graduation we were standing around talking and she gave Heather some sweet words of advice~she told her she was the example for her brother and her sister!

Mrs. D~she was Heather's Math teacher!

Mrs. T~she was Heather's SS teacher!

Mr. G~he taught Science! This was his first year of teaching and the kids loved him!

so here we are~heading into summer! Tyson is enjoying his new job~and the kids and I are ready to live it up! haha!!!

Down by 5!!!

So I started back exercising (running~if you want to call it that!) and drinking lots of water! I lost 5 lbs this week~WOO HOO!!!

Monday, May 11, 2009

Here we are...

have you been missing us? I'm sure! :) haha
this first pic is for my friend Jennifer~it's her little boy at school one day~cinco de mayo I think

caroline has gotten the self portrait thing down~she is always grabbing for my camera and taking pictures of herself

Last week I went to Dallas with Tyson while he was doing some training for work I played in the big D~here's me on the first day

I know that's a gross picture! I've gotten so fat lately, so I've finally decided to do something about it. I want to lose 36 pounds by my 36th birthday~that's a doable goal I think right? (work with me here!!!) The first day I went to Sam Moon's and some fabric outlets! Did you know they had these in Dallas?

it's a fabric lovers haven especially if you are doing bridal gowns or prom dresses! I didn't buy anything at the fabric stores though just bags at Sam Moon's!

The kids and I on Saturday after being gone from them all week! I really missed the lil' darlings until we walked in the door and they all started fussing! haha

here's another of Caroline with the camera! I told you she ROCKS huh? Her hair is all crazy looking b/c there was some pumpkin spray on the bathroom counter and she thought she saw me using it in my hair so she put it in hers then her head started burning so she put her head under the sink to rinse it out! lol crazy girl!

another gross picture of me~but I told Tyson and the kids that I wanted a pic of me with the kids for mother's day! I told them they didn't have to get me anything else but that~well you see that Caroline cooperated huh? I did get an Ipod Touch and tyson & the kids served me breakfast in bed and then Tyson took the kids to the zoo while I napped! It was a great Mother's Day!!!

My new calling at Church is the Activities Chairman and so I was in charge of the Mother's Day celebration (it's a long story and it involves lots of church drama!) lol

But I made the centerpieces for the tables
and the Elder's Quorum provided muffins/milk/lemonade! Thanks Justin for all your help!!! I really appreciate it!

On our way out of Dallas I begged Tyson to let me find this running store called Run On b/c I wanted to get fitted for some new running shoes! He was game for it and I was so excited! I hit the pavement for the first time tonight and I was so excited!

They aren't nike+ shoes but I can tuck my sensor inside the top and it works perfect! On my way to 36 lbs!!!(hopefully)

SO I think that's about a wrap! Only 13 more days of school left!

What I've been up too?

I'm so glad school is ALMOST over~don't get me wrong I really enjoy my job but I'm ready for a day or two (or maybe 10) that I can sleep in and not have any commitments!

Here's the first thing I have been working on~Tyson's aunt called me and asked me to make her a shirt. I had the NANA part done but then I was having computer/machine troubles so I could get the Asa part done. FINALLY, got it done! I am happy with the way it turned out! Thanks Rachella for your help!

We had Caroline's birthday party this afternoon. We had planned on renting a bounce house but it's been raining here for 2 days so that was out! We just hung out inside and had a great time! I can't believe my baby is going to be 6 tomorrow! AWWW!!!

OK an update

I know I've been MIA around here, but things have been so crazy and my computer has been on the blink so NO blogging!

Tyson has found a job~YAY!!! He's going to be working at a place called CMC Recycling~hum, I wonder if that means I need to be better about my GREEN movement around here. They do Commercial recycling I think though, so maybe I won't be under the radar too bad! LOL

Tyson is almost finished with school~his last day is May 5~I'm sure in honor of Cinco de mayo. haha.

Heather has one more cheer competition in a couple of weeks. It's been a good year! It's hard to believe that she'll be starting at middle school next year (in just a few short months). We have her dress for 5th grade graduation. ACK!!!! how did that happen already?

Jed decide this year that he wanted to try playing baseball. He has really enjoyed it. He's actually a pretty good little player considering he's never played before.
I can't believe he'll be a 3rd grader soon!

Caroline is having a great time in Kindergarten! She's FINALLY learned how to read and she has great teachers! 1st grade here she comes!!!! She's having her birthday this weekend and she is SOOOOO excited!!!

Other than that we've just been working on projects around the house~and that has been keeping us busy! You know how it is you start one then you find something else to do and it just keeps going! lol We'll never be finished!

*Wait a Minute~What are we talking about here?*

STOP.THE.PRESSES.

I know what you are thinking~what in the world? Are you sitting down because this one my friends you are NOT going to believe!!!!

I actually used something out of my food storage. I know, huh? MIRACLE!!!! Now I know you are sitting there asking what in the world did I use?

DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....

that green bucket is my 25 lbs of flour~when I first put it up I had no clue what I was going to do with it, I mean I really don't use flour b/c I don't cook from scratch but Kristi at Everything's Pink has posted about these homemade pretzels several times & I've been wanting to try them so I got the gumption to do it the other night

They actually turned out! The kids helped me roll them out and make them so they look kind of funny! The only thing I was missing was pretzel salt, but I picked some up at the store so we'll have it the next time I make these.

So for once I'm actually excited about Food Storage! So I'm sharing THIS secret with all my peeps!

I found this FABULOUS blog the other night and I really can't remember how.

Food Storage Made Easy
And the girls over there have put together all their information in a nifty binder for us!!! I'm so excited!! I think their website ROCKS because for me it has to be EASY!!! So scoot on over there and check them out!!!
