*Halloween*

I totally didn't get any of my decorations out this year-not even my fun Halloween advent calendar that the kids kept asking about! Lol I was lazy and we've been super busy! We did mange to get costumes though-well barely for Heather! She count decide what she wanted to be!
Here we are for the Church Halloween party!

Jed was an old man, Caroline, a vet & Heather decided on a witch!

I decided at the last minute I would dress up as a mouseateer! Yay for free costumes!!!

Tyson decided to be an old man too. He found this suit at goodwill and rubbed some bengay on it so it would smell like an old man! He always comes up with great ideas!

Savannah, Georgia!

My mom & I took a girls trip to Savannah, Georgia. I didn't realize Savannah was so full of history, but we had a good time & ate lots of yummy food! If you want to eat good while you're there, I've got some recommendations for ya!

First, we ate with this Southern girl! We actually went downtown to find where Paula's Lady & Sons restaurant was located so we could get there the next day. There wasn't a line so we asked how long it would take to get a table & they sat us right away! We went with the buffet because it looked the best out of all the choices & plus who goes to Paula's and wants something exotic????

Paula's was good, but really nothing to write home about!

The next day we headed downtown & can I just say it's great to not have to rush around~haha no offense kids, but it was nice!! We hopped on a trolley to see the sights! We hopped off at the second stop & walked to Mrs. Wilkes!

And Oh My Goodness! YUM-O!! This is THE place to go for some good southern cooking! I mean delish! THey are only open M-F from 11-2. We had to wait an hour & a half to get in, but it was soooooo worth it. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it! It was owned by white people but all the workers were black. I told my mom no wonder it was so good because they know how to cook that kind of food! LOL

After Mrs. Wilkes, we hopped back on the trolley and caught the rest of the sights. It was very interesting~Savannah has a lot of history. We ended the day by walking through the shops on the riverfront. We didn't end up buying anything except this yummy treat. YUM-O!

Later that night we went back downtown and hit Five Guys Burgers & Fries. Another hit! I've never been to one, but it was YUMMY too!

I do have a funny story about going back downtown that night. We parked in the same parking lot we did the night before when we went to Paula Deens. Well I gave the attendant a hard time and told him we were return customers & he should give us a deal~um, he did! $2 off! haha

The last day we were there we went to Tybee Island! Another neat little place~we happened to be there during the Pirate Festival. LOL Yes, on an island surrounded by Pirates! ARGHHHHHH! We hit a little local restaurant for breakfast & we sat at the counter so we got to watch them make everyone's food.
Eggs anyone?

or maybe you prefer bacon?

We walked down to the pier and looked at the ocean. It was beautiful & made me wish for a beach house! :( Maybe one day when I win the lotto! I sent Tyson this picture to show him & the kids where I was and he texts back "nice water bottle" Some people just can not appreciate the view! haha

The last thing we did is visit the Tybee Island lighthouse. It is very historical & interesting. They will let you walk the grounds and go through the lightkeepers home & then walk to the top of the lighthouse! 178 steps! Let's just say that I"m way out of shape!!!

We ended up cutting our trip short a day early because I was flying standby & the Sunday flights were full! We had to drive to Orlando & I had to leave from there! It made me sad because it reminded me of our awesome family vacation we had this summer! :) I can't wait to take the kids back to DisneyWorld!!!

We had a great time in Savannah! Thanks MOM!

WIWW~What I Wore Wednesday...

Holly over at Marathon Bird has been posting about this Link Party over at the Pleated Poppy~I thought it was just something she was doing!

I thought I might as well join in because heaven knows I need all the help I can get! So I can't believe I'm posting THIS picture but this is my normal everyday wear~

I was so resistant to getting a pair of Sperry's because I couldn't justify spending THAT much money on a pair of shoes, but now OMG they are so comfortable. I make them match EVERYTHING! LOL I have a friend who has several different pairs so I guess I need to branch out and get some in different colors so they will match! LOL

So I'm hoping WIWW will help me with some style~whatever THAT is!!!

Lady & Sons

I've never been one to take pictures of my food, probably because I never order anything exciting. But tonight my mom & I went to downtown Savannah to find Paula Deen's Lady & Sons. Our original plan was to just find where it was so we would know tomorrow when we went to eat. We decided to see if we could get in because they weren't that busy! We got right in!!!! So here's my supper!
