Last summer I as I was struggling with going back to school I found this blog

as I read through her post I began to have a little hope that everything was gonna be alright!

We've made it 1/2 through the year & it was a rough 1st semester, but we made it through & hopefully 2nd semester will be better!

At Littlest Learner you will find all kinds of great ideas~I wished I was one of those teachers excited about teaching ALL the time~but unfortunately it's something I'm still working on!

Anyways, enough of my doom & gloom~Thanks to LL everytime I read I have that little glimmer of hope~And I have her in my google reader so I always know when something new comes up!

The Jury's Still Out on THIS one!!!

I should know when to stop REALLY I should, but I don't so I set out to Hobby Lobby to recreate THIS cute necklace. I mean really how hard can it be right???



I was excited that the supplies only cost me $6! I was already ok if it didn't turn out! Here are first pictures







I was NOT loving it last night! I thought about it for awhile and then I had a great idea~I could lengthen it by adding ribbon to the back of the chain right????

So I decided to wear it to church this morning I wore all black because I really didn't have anything to wear with it~I like it better long~but I'm still not convinced~


I think it would look better with a colored shirt AND maybe some kind of jacket! Maybe I'm just not hip enough to pull it off~

What do you think???

Spelling Bee

Caroline tried out for the spelling bee at our school. She was really excited about it, but didn't want to be bothered with studying the words. LOL she's a mess!



Needless to say she got out on her first word "spin". She spelled it spenn. She did very good when she got out, she didn't cry or throw a fit. We had a talk with her before school and told her to be a big girl! She did very good! She looks like such a big girl on the stage!!!!

~2011 Home Goals~

I've been reading over at The Nester & her link party this week is home goals for 2011. Now I think everyone I've read about makes resolutions & then they fizzle out! I'm hoping I have Tyson onboard with these~although probably not because it will be him doing most of the work! haha

#1 will be to finish the flooring in the girls room. We have seriously been talking about this for a couple of years! Tyson got most of it laid last weekend. We need to finish the trim work and then the closet! It looks really good!



#2 is to decorate our bedroom. It's just BLAH!!! Mainly because I have NO decorating sense! I know I want to go with brown & turquoise! I have a huge vinyl saying that says LOVE that will go above our bed. (I've had it for several months actually). I want to add curtains & try to do something about Tyson's mess! We also have this huge arrangement that was one of Aunt Deby's last arrangements before she passed away. She made it for my friend Ronda for a luncheon at her church. So I don't know what to do with that!


#3 Replace the light fixtures in both bathrooms. Neither of them work correctly!


#4 Replace the ceiling fans/light fixtures in the kids rooms! They are yucky!

#5 Replace the garabage disposal! This should probably really be #2! haha


#6 Decorate the entertainment center!


#7 Find something to hang on this wall in the kids bathroom!


#8 Find chairs for our "bar" in the kitchen. We had 3 when we first moved in but we used them all the time & they finally bit the dust! and NO I didn't clean it off for you! LOL

Any suggestions? Seriously, I DO NOT know where to start! oh, and don't judge me! I didn't promise it was picked up! LOL

*Ten memories from the past year are....*

Of course you know, new year brings new goals/resolutions (if ya wanna be fancy!) One of mine is to journal more, which lucky for you means more blogging!! haha

Ten memories from the past year are....

10. In January, I bought an Iphone why did I not do this sooner? I'm in *love* with my phone! I would cry & probably go into a deep depression should it quit working for some reason! haha (you see why this is #10?)


9. Tyson brought this fine piece of whatever you want to call it into our house & hung it on the living room wall. He said only a month, but here it is a year later and it's still hanging in the living room!


8. The kids & I went Geo-caching for the first time over Spring break! It was fun!! Matter of fact, Caroline was asking the other day to go again! I think that makes a memory!


7. I sold a Minnie Mouse cake pan on ebay for a ridiculous amount of money! I thought this was FUNNY!!


6. Tyson & I went through the Dave Ramsey FPU and I thought it was very interesting & enjoyed it, but Tyson not so much! Needless to say we are trying again this year to be on a budget! LOL We also made some sweet friends while going to this class so it wasn't a total loss!


5. Tyson built my kitchen table from someone elses trash! We love it though!!


4. I've been enjoying my calling in Cub Scouts, which probably means I'm fixing to be released! I've been in there for almost 2 years!


3. Tyson & I went on a cruise with our friends Ted & Kasi! I was sick the whole time, but we still managed to have a little fun!


2. My mom took us to DisneyWorld & we enjoyed it! It was so much fun & I've become one of THOSE people who is nuts for disney! UGH I always said it wouldn't happen!


1. The #1 memory from 2010 isn't really a good one. On November 5th, Tyson's Aunt Deby was killed in a car accident on her way home from work. She was such a great example of a good Christian person & always put Jesus Christ first. We miss her so much it's heartbreaking sometimes, but we all have wonderful memories of her & her testimony. I am so thankful for the knowledge of the plan of salvation, and although it doesn't ease the pain any it comforts me to know that we will be able to see her again!

So that's my top 10 memories from 2010! I have a few personal goals I would like to accomplish in 2011, but I will save those for another post!
