~National Infantry Museum~

A few weeks ago the kids & I checked out the Army's National Infantry Museum in Columbus.

Ok, confession time-we REALLY went to watch ET on the IMAX screen for FREE! But we checked the museum out while we were there.

I was very impressed with the museum. It runs on donations & doesn't charge an admission to get in. It is privately funded. They have each war time period in different rooms, so naturally the ones I could indentify with were of more interest. They also had a history and information on the duties of a Army Ranger & how to be come one.

It made me feel very patriotic & proud to be an American.

Book Recomendation

I'm always looking for a good book to read but it has to be an easy read and something that will hold my interest. I used to be an avid reader as a kid, but I go through reading moods as an adult.

Awhile back a lady from church, who has a very interesting life story, recommended this book The Snow Angel by Glenn Beck.



I don't really know a lot about Glenn Beck, other than he's Mormon & people have a love/hate relationship with him. I'm indifferent-imagine that. Anyways, this book was very goo & a pretty easy read! Its about treasuring those relationships that are most important to you regardless of what anyone expects! Pick it up & enjoy!

~Beach Time~

Our family enjoys hanging out at the beach. There's just something relaxing about the waves crashing & the breeze blowing through your hair. One of the reasons we decided to accept Tyson's new job in Georgia (more on that later) was because we would be only 3 hrs from the beautiful white sand & blue water beaches! Lame, I know, but that was seriously a selling point! Lol. When we went to Destin with my parents last year Tyson & I said we needed to figure out a way to retire at the beach-this is the next best thing!



We finally made the move across the country, or at least halfway after being separated for 4 months this week. Tyson suggested we go check the beach out while he had some time off! So we loaded up the car and headed south!!!




I'm not sure of my opinion of Panama City yet, the beach was beautiful! It was overcast & cloudy, so the water was a little cold for me, but Tyson and the kids had a big time in the water. I laid on the beach reading my book!
If y'all ever make it to Destin or Panama City, let us know and we'll come visit!!!!

~Testing, Testing~

Does anyone still read this thing? I don't know if anyone does or not-if you do leave a comment do I'll know I'm not just wasting my time! Haha I've been wanting to get back to blogging but most times feel like I don't really have anything to tell that I don't already share on Facebook & most of my readers here are friends There it seems like a waste ya know? Anyways, I would really like to use this as my journal and make it into a fancy book for posterity. That's my intent anyways! We'll see if it really happens. So let's see if I can keep this up....

totally on automatic settings but I thought it turned out to be a sweet picture of Caroline. She is such a sweet mess, but she is very jealous of her sister these days!!! We're working on that!!! :)
